Kodak Black was finally released from a Florida jail yesterday, weeks after his arrest for drug possession also triggered a parole violation from his gun case. According to court documents, Black admitted to the violation and the judge sentenced him to time served, with no further supervised release.

The possession charge has also been thrown out, after further testing proved that the substance found on Black during the December 7th traffic stop was not cocaine, but a painkiller for which he had a prescription.

“It was important for him to be out for the birth of his son,” Black's attorney, Bradford Cohen, said yesterday. “This is his fourth child. He has been at every birth, so to miss the birth would have been very detrimental to him.”
