Michael Jackson's son, Blanket, has requested that a judge prevent his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, from using funds from his father's estate to finance her ongoing legal battles against the estate's executors. The dispute revolves around a $600 million catalog deal with Sony. Although both Blanket and Katherine initially opposed the deal, Blanket and Jackson's other children accepted the judge's ruling.

However, Katherine decided to continue the fight by filing an appeal. Blanket argued that it would be unfair to expect him and his siblings to cover the costs of Katherine's appeal, stating that the chances of success were slim.
