With airplay on both pop and country radio, Parmalee‘s success has been driven by three #1 singles, including their recent “Take My Name,” which was the Billboard Country Airplay Song of 2022.
Lead vocalist Matt Thomas says their latest song “Girl In Mine,” was written from a real place.
In a press release he recalled when he was younger and living in a small town and picking up his girlfriend for the first time. He said, “There wasn’t much else to do but put the top down, listen to music, and talk about what we wanted to do with our lives.”
He says the song came from memories of that date.
