Pink has offered to pay the fines for the Norwegian women’s beach handball team that was penalized for wearing shorts instead of bikini bottoms.
The Grammy Award winning singer Tweeted Saturday (July 24th), “I’m VERY proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team FOR PROTESTING THE VERY SEXIST RULES ABOUT THEIR “uniform”. The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM. Good on ya, ladies. I’ll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up.”
Page Six reports that the European Handball Federation imposed a $1,770 fine — $177 per player — for “improper clothing” in the game against Spain during the European Beach Handball Championships in Bulgaria.
