The Weeknd is considering changing his name.
He wrote on Twitter Sunday (April 3th) that he is considering “pulling a YE” and legally changing his name from Abel Tesfaye to just ABEL.
He explained, “no last name. Like Madonna or Cher or Prince. I don’t know it seems like a lot.”
The Weeknd, straight off a Grammy win for best melodic rap performance for his feature on Kanye West's song “Hurricane,” will debut his latest music video, “Out of Time” on Tuesday (April 5th) at 6a.m. PT.
