23 New COVID-19-related Deaths Reported Statewide Thursday

(Enid, OK) The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 618 new COVID-19 cases and 23 additional deaths on Thursday.

Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by three for an overall total of 7,424 since the pandemic started, with 286 of them being active.

There have been 4,112 deaths in the state in which COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor, according to the OSDH.

Of the 23 deaths reported on Thursday, 15 were in the 65 and older age group including three Oklahoma County men, three men and one woman in Tulsa County, one man each in Pontotoc, Wagoner, Cleveland and Stephens counties and one woman each in Pottawatomie, Rogers, Grady and Washington counties.

Six of the deaths were in the 50-64 age group including two Pottawatomie County women, men in Oklahoma, Kay and Tulsa counties and a Rogers County woman. The remaining two deaths were women in the 36-49 age group in Tulsa and Comanche counties.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma on Thursday included three in Blaine, two in Woods, one in Kingfisher, one in Major and one in Noble County.
