A personal injury collision was reported at the junction of US-83 and US-64, roughly two-and-a-half miles north of Turpin, OK in Beaver County.
Luis Gustavo Hernandez, 23, was travelling north on US-83 in his Chevy Cobalt when he failed to stop for a stop sign. Hernandez’s vehicle struck a Ram 1500 driven by Luis Alberto Sanchez, 33, causing the latter truck to depart the roadway to the left and roll one time before landing on its wheels.
Sanchez was transported to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS where he was treated and released. Meanwhile, Hernandez admitted to the same medical facility in stable condition with head and internal trunk injuries.
One passenger riding with Sanchez, 29-year-old Miguel Angel Tobon, was not injured in the accident.
