(Enid, OK) An Alva man and a Sharon woman in the 65 and older age group were among the 27 virus-related deaths reported Thursday by Oklahoma State Department of Health.
Oklahoma gained 2,782 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. There have been 3,681 deaths statewide where COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor, OSDH reported.
Of the 27 deaths reported, 19 were in the 65 and older age group include three men and two women in Tulsa County, two men and one woman in Oklahoma County, one man and one woman in Comanche County, one man each in Cherokee, Wagoner, Custer, Washington, Grady and Woods counties and one woman each in Pottawatomie, Payne and Woodward counties.
Four deaths were in the 50-64 age group including three men in Muskogee, Tulsa and Oklahoma counties and a Comanche County woman. The other four deaths were two men in Comanche and Canadian counties and two women in Wagoner and Le Flore counties in the 36-49 age group.
Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases Thursday included 32 in Woodward, 13 in Kingfisher, 10 in Blaine, five in Noble, four in Major, four in Woods and two in Alfalfa County.
