City of Enid officials announced that on Tuesday, November 15th a large water outage will take place to allow the city to install a new waterline. The outage will last 1 day and will affect the following neighborhoods, Southern Heights Addition, East Park Addition, Rock Island Addition, Southern Heights 2nd Addition, Garfield Addition, and Garfield 2nd Addition.
Construction on the Leona Mitchell Boulevard Watermain and Improvements Project is the reason for the outage. The project seeks to update outdated and old waterlines in the Leona Mitchell Boulevard area. Before construction began residents had complained of dirty water, lack of water pressure, and other problems.
Since the start of construction, some residents have already seen improvement in their water quality.
