On Monday afternoon, the Enid Police Department arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a shooting that happened earlier that day.

Marquis D. Hughes, 30, was arrested by Oklahoma state troopers, Garfield County, and Enid officers at Government Springs Park North, near St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. The suspect fired his weapon once as the officers moved to surround him, but no further damages or injuries were caused as he was taken into custody.
