Suspect 25 Year-Old Kameron Jenkins has been Found Dead After Manhunt OSBI Says

25-year-old Kameron Jenkins was found dead near the initial shooting scene almost a week after the shootout he had with the District 21 Drug Task Force news9 says. The body was found at approximately 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 10, about 150 yards from the shooting scene.

The original shootout happened on Wednesday, October 4, when District 21 Drug Task Force attempted to pull over Jenkins on the highway I-35. They performed a tactical vehicle intervention maneuver to stop Jenkins, which ensued into a gunfight. he shot and injured Cleveland County deputy Sean Steadman, and unintentionally killed Gwaun Frierson, an innocent bystander who was sitting in a dump truck when a stray bullet struck and killed him.

At this time, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety claims he is found.

“After review of all available intelligence, OHP, in conjunction with the US Marshal’s, decided a secondary grid-search of the area was warranted. The search conducted by OHP Emergency Response and Tactical Team, resulted in locating a subject matching the description of the suspect involved in the shooting of the Cleveland County Deputy. The subject was found deceased. The scene will be turned over to OSBI to complete its investigation.”

The cause of death is still unknown.
