Full Interview w/ Jessy Dershem, Executive Director of Our Blood Institute in Enid

As frigid winter weather continues to affect the state of Oklahoma, Our Blood Institute (OBI) has issue a media alert asking all area residents to make blood donations a priority.

The donations are being used to ensure that area hospitals have the necessary amount of lifesaving blood products to treat all the patients who require them.

With blood collections beginning to run low, OBI is now sending out more blood than they are receiving on a consistent basis. Furthermore, OBI is anticipating blood donor appointment cancellations as winter weather continues to impact Enid and the surrounding areas.

Anyone who is able to give blood can contact the OBI center in Enid by visiting obi.org or by calling 877-340-8777.
