Ringwood Resident Dies of Injuries From May 4th Accident

(Enid, OK) A Ringwood resident has died from complications after an accident that happened in early May, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Monday.

62-year-old Douglas Meister was a passenger in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup that was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Boomer Road at 10:45 a.m. May 4th. Meister died Friday, May 28th, at Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City.

62-year-old Linda Annette Meister was driving east on U.S. 60 when a 2015 Chevrolet pickup coming southbound on Boomer Road, driven by 84-year-old Carl Mack failed to yield at a stop sign and struck Meister’s vehicle on the passenger side, according to OHP report.

Linda Meister and Carl Mack were transported, via helicopter, to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while Douglas Meister was transported to Integris Bass in Enid, according to the original report.

The condition of both drivers was reportedly normal and the cause was failure to yield.
