Marilyn Sue (Duckett) Knaus, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning,January 13th, at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Marilyn was the granddaughter of original settlers of the Cherokee Strip in Oklahoma through grandparents on both sides of her family. She was born on March 30, 1942, to Audrey Muir Duckett and Harold Frank Duckett.She grew up in Enid, OK and graduated from Enid High School in 1960. She attended Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, before completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Little Rock University in 1964. That degree fell in line with a family of mostly teachers. She married Darrel Emmett Knaus in 1963. She taught lower and middle school math and/or science in Little Rock, AR, New Orleans, LA, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, and Bedford, TX and the 2005-2006 St. Vincent’s School yearbook was dedicated to her. Marilyn is survived by her daughter Dr. Tracey Ann Knaus and her husband, Mr. Steven Lee Hatley and her grandchildren Delilah Grace Knaus and Emmet Gray Knaus of New Orleans, LA, her son Mr. Robert Frank Knaus, of Plano, TX, and her sister, Mrs. Portia Ann Potts and her husband, Mr. William Potts, IV of Lansdale, PA.

Marilyn was born on August 21, 1937 in Tonkawa, the daughter of Russell Cyrus and Edith Lucille Price Slater and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 15, 2024 in Ponca City, She was raised in the Pawnee-Kaw City area, graduatingfrom Ponca City High School with the class of 1955. Marilyn met and married James Troy Cloud in Sulphur, Louisiana, on May 21, 1960. They moved to Ponca City where she remained for the rest of her life. Marilyn worked various jobs as a secretary, retiring from the Ponca City Housing Authority. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church where she was also the piano player. Marilyn loved to shop with her church friends. Marilyn is survived by Daughter, Shari Dagg and partner Chris Lehnertz of San Francisco, California; Lisa Fowler of Ponca City; two grandchildren, Kylie and husband Dylan Jackson of Ponca City, Peyton and wife Britt Fowler of Ponca City; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Blakely, Paige, Slater, Bayler, all of Ponca City. Donna Michelle Jackson was born on August 17, 1965, in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born to Henry D. and Thelma J. Lewis. Donna grew up and attended elementary school in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was affectionally called by her family, Donnie and Phat. She had a huge personality, a great sense of humor, and always loved to smile. Donna loved the Lord, and at a young age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. February 20, 1970, she was baptized at Main Street Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, MO, under the leadership of the late Pastor Rev Curtis Reece.

He preceded her in death June 1, 2013.
