Enid vs Jenks

Jenks defeats Enid 45-0

The Plainsmen had a rough night in their 2nd home game of the year falling behind 42-0 before halftime. Turnovers plagued the Plainsmen including several interceptions by QB Aiden Robinson. Receivers also struggled to get open against a sturdy Trojans defense. However the Plainsmen had a much better effort in the 2nd half, they kept Jenks scoreless in the 3rd quarter despite the Trojans still having most of their starters still in the game. They will need to look more like the team that showed up in the 2nd half to get a much-needed road win against Moore this week.

Kingfisher vs Perkins-Tryon

Perkins defeats Kingfisher 21-7

Kingfisher is still looking for their 1st win of the season however they were much more competitive against one of the best teams in 3A.

Alva vs Millwood

Millwood defeats Alva 36-13

The Goldbugs hung in there for the 1st half against last year’s runner-up in 2A but Millwood pulled away late. Alva has hung in there against 2 of the best teams in 2A and Class A but was unable to pull off the upset on Millwood or Fairview.

Chisholm vs Newkirk

Chisholm defeats Newkirk 34-14

The amazing turnaround continues for Kimes Gilbert and the Longhorns, Chisholm is now 3-1 after only winning 1 game in the past 2 seasons. The future looks bright for the Longhorns who face a big test against Millwood next week.

 

Hennessey vs Oklahoma Christian School

OCS defeats Hennessey 49-7

Hennessey continues to struggle with another tough loss, they will look to bounce back against district foe the Perry Maroons.

 

Blackwell vs Perry

Perry defeats Blackwell 42-16

Perry wins the battle of the Maroons, up next a battle against district opponent Hennessey.

 

Fairview @ Hooker

Fairview defeats Hooker 56-22

The Yellowjackets look dominant going on the road and beating one of Class A’s best in style. It will be tough for anyone to stand in Fairview’s way of a 2nd straight State Championship. The offense of QB Jax Bernard, RB Grant Church, and WR’s Isaiah Burris, Reed Martens and Brant Strader looks unstoppable.

 

Cashion vs Minco

Minco defeats Cashion 45-0

The Tigers look to continue the rebuild coming off of 2 straight state titles 2 seasons ago.

 

Crescent @ Watonga

Crescent defeats Watonga 44-23

It was tougher than expected early but Crescent continues to roll, the Tigers are trending in the right direction for a deep playoff run.

 

Seiling vs Cherokee

Seiling defeats Cherokee 56-0

Seiling hammers an experienced Cherokee squad to stay undefeated, they look like the favorites to seize the class B state title while Cherokee hopes to recover in district play from an 0-4 start.

 

Garber vs Covington-Douglas

Covington-Douglas defeats Garber 38-18

The high scoring Wildcats offense led by junior QB Ford Smith continues to express, this team could make a deep playoff run, while the Garber Wolverines are left searching for answers after high expectations to start the year meet a 2 loss slump.

 

Kremlin-Hillsdale vs Balko-Forgan

Balko defeats Kremlin 36-8

A moral victory for the Broncs to last an entire game, injuries and low participation have made it a rough year for Coach Worley’s squad.

 

Pond Creek-Hunter vs Waukomis

PCH defeats Waukomis 36-34

A razor thin game between 2 talented teams that mirror each others style. These 2 teams like to run the ball with a variety of backs, however its the Panthers defense who would win the day with a 4th QTR safety.

Canton vs Ringwood

Ringwood beats Canton 56-6

Ringwood puts aside early season struggles against tough opponents to stay red hot. They look ready to go for district play.

Okeene vs Beaver

Okeene defeats Beaver 52-6

New coach Tanner Allen has the Whippets looking great with another blowout victory.

 

DCLA vs Timberlake

Timberlake defeats DCLA 56-8

New faces on offense haven’t slowed down the Tigers who look primed for a deep playoff run in Class C, while the young Eagles continue to learn the ropes.

 

Medford vs Sharon-Mutual

Medford defeats Sharon-Mutual 58-12

The Cardinals shocked undefeated Sharon-Mutual with a blowout victory during homecoming. Senior QB Talon Duncan looks great in the new role as he wills in for Sophomore phenom Ethan Gonzalez who was lost for the season with a knee injury.

 

South Sumner vs Udall 

South Sumner defeats Udall 52-0

South Sumner once again looks dominant in district play, a season ago they beat all district opponents in blowout fashion and they may do it again this year.
