Sooner Legend, Former Oklahoma Women’s Basketball Coach Sherri Coale Talks Explosion of Women’s Basketball

CTB Sports spoke with Oklahoma Basketball Legend Sherri Coale who spoke at an event at Waukomis Community Church on Sunday, April 28th. Coach Coale is an Oklahoma legend leading the Oklahoma Women’s Basketball Program from 1996-2021. Coach Coale led the Sooners to the National Championship game in 2002 where they were defeated by UConn 82-70.

Coach Coale also coached Norman High School for 6 seasons before jumping to the college game. During her playing career, she was a high school star at Healdston High School at Healdston Oklahoma and she played college ball at Oklahoma Christian University.

Coale retired to focus on writing and public speaking and spending more time with her family.
