A new Oklahoma State Government program that goes into effect this year will allow college students to earn up to 25$ an hour by tutoring 7-9th grade math students. The program did a test run in the spring of 2022 when 400 students participated in the program.

Post-program surveys found that after the program, 90% of participants increased their understanding of mathematics, 84% of families said participating students were more confident about math and 84% of students indicated they would be more likely to persevere after making a mistake.

All of the training, meeting, and tutoring for the program will be done virtually, and the tutoring itself will work around the schedule of both the students and the tutors. How the program works is tutors will work with groups of up to 4 students in up to 3, 50-minute sessions per week from September 18th through November 19th, with a chance of another 12 weeks of tutoring in the spring.

Those who want to tutor must apply by Aug. 10 and can do so by clicking on this link. https://lnks.gd/l/eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJidWxsZXRpbl9saW5rX2lkIjoxMDEsInVyaSI6ImJwMjpjbGljayIsImJ1bGxldGluX2lkIjoiMjAyMjA4MDEuNjE1ODU5MzEiLCJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FpcnRhYmxlLmNvbS9zaHJ5b21rZW92d1M4bzB3NiJ9.ozQk3BmBvlkyPCSFSET4zQ11CKfP4MDOPLR2HL08qvM/s/2157860153/br/141856897498-l
