Last Saturday Jackson’s of Enid hosted the 1st Annual KNID Pet Project in partnership with Remax Premier Realtors. The Pet Project was an adoption event and fundraiser for the ESPCA Enid’s no-kill animal shelter.

Executive Director of the ESPCA Vicki Grantz was pleased with how the event turned out saying “it was everything that we could have hoped for”. Grantz also said, “we were very pleased we had 10 adoptions that day, just shy of $500 in monetary donations, we added up 1800 Lbs. of dry pet food and 3 dozen cans of pet food”.

That’s not counting money raised for Rebel Rescue which works closely with the ESPCA and was selling Walking Tacos to raise money throughout the day. Grantz said that the ESPCA usually has 2 adoptions at their adoption events and that many people contacted her about potentially being foster homes for animals.
