As of Tuesday, July 8, the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department has officially closed all state park restaurants operated by Lookout Kitchen due to ongoing contractual violations.
According to the department, the decision follows Lookout’s repeated failure to meet payment obligations and correct compliance issues. A formal notice issued on May 16 gave the company until July 7 to resolve the matter; they failed.
To mitigate food disruptions, OTRD is working to provide temporary food options, including grab-and-go options and the potential addition of food trucks.
