In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with South Sumner Head Football Coach Sean Blosser to preview the upcoming season.

The coach expressed optimism about the upcoming season, highlighting the team’s strong summer preparations.

“We’ve had a pretty good summer. Our kids have come in and competed really well. We held our team camp two weeks ago at Southwestern University, and we had a great session there. Our kids felt like they improved and gained clarity on where we’re headed at the beginning of the season. We’re excited about this group, and we’re looking forward to the season that’s about to be here.”

Coach Blosser wanted to highlight some key players in the lineup.

“We returned a good chunk of our offensive line, and we’re excited about that group with Tony Trillo, Dalton Kelly, and Colt Schmidt…They’ve started for us for two years now, and this will be their third as a freshman. So we’re excited about them. In the backfield, we have returned our quarterback, Mack Blosser, and Maddox Pond…He’ll run the ball for us a little bit…We have Cole Spencer and Caleb Boone who’ve really come on for us this summer and made so many improvements that are going to help us.”
