In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Cimarron Baseball team—Head Coach Todd Stingley, along with players Rhett Stingley, Anthony Montano, and Bradley Goodnight—to discuss the upcoming season.
The coach started by discussing the excitement of the teammates so far.
“Pretty exciting right now; I think we’re ready. We have our first game tomorrow. We’ve been practicing well, playing well this summer. So we’re all pretty excited about tomorrow and Friday; we have two away games this week.”
Coach Stingley highlighted summer practices, as well as the team’s improvement.
“We began practice [on] July 15; we weren’t allowed to practice before that date. But we started on that day and have worked out pretty much every day. I gave them weekends off, obviously, but it’s been really good workouts, really productive, energy has been great, attitudes have been great, and they’ve been doing a great job. I’ve seen a lot of improvement since I saw them play last year against them.”
