Rowdy Stickhorse is bringing you the Squash Blossom Festival on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., offering a full day of family fun and unique events.
One highlight of the festival will be the Cucs & Zuks Indi 500, where kids ages 15 and under can turn a cucumber or zucchini into a race car using a wheel-and-axle kit. Participants can paint, decorate and customize their veggie racers before hitting the track. Winners will take home rosettes, trophies and prize money.
Festival-goers can also join the Soaker Seat Charity Event, where participants pay $5 for six chances to soak a volunteer with water. Each entry also includes a drawing ticket; proceeds will benefit one of three local charities.
In addition, shoppers will be entered into prize drawings: for every $10 spent with a vendor, attendees receive a ticket for a chance to win a variety of prizes.
The Squash Blossom Festival promises a one-of-a-kind experience and a chance to connect with the community in a fun and memorable way.
