In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Hennessey Head Football Coach Mark Cox to discuss the upcoming rivalry matchup against the Chisholm Longhorns.
The coach started off by defining one of the team’s win conditions.
“I think the guys responded well to adversity, and had to go through some growing pains there to figure out how ot win games. So, next week, after the Chisholm game last year, we won and got on a little hot streak for a while. So yeah, I think that was a big part of it, figuring out how to win.”
The coach wanted to commend the Chisholm coaches before outlining their team.
“Coach Condor, Coach Stafford, [and] Coach Lugin; they do a great job…of spreading the ball around, getting their athletes in space, and playing to their strengths. they’ve got a big physical offensive line and really good running back…they’ve got dynamic athletes….”
