In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the new Chisholm Head Football Coach, Cameron Condor, to discuss the upcoming rivalry matchup against Hennessey.
Coach Condor reflected on the previous matchup against Metro, pointing out the highlights:
“We played gritty, jumped off them pretty quick, took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown, which gave us some really good momentum to start the game. [We] didn’t get our two-point conversion, which was a little bit deflating for us, but Metro turned around and scored on their next possession. We got the ball back and had another really explosive play. So, it was back and forth…lots of offense…..”
The coach discussed the matchup against Hennessey, pointing out their leadership with Head Coach Mark Cox:
“It’s a rivalry game, and so it’s going to be a battle of ‘who wants it more.’ They have Mark Cox, [a] really good head coach and [he] coaches those kids hard. And so, they’re going to be prepared and ready to go. Likewise, we’re going to be ready to try and get a win under our belt. It’s going to be a good matchup.”
