In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with OBA Head Football Coach Chris Cayot to discuss the upcoming matchup against Seiling.
The coach started off by discussing how the season has been treating them so far:
“A really good start to our season. Brought a lot of kids back, a year older, stronger, grown up. We had some issues last year finishing games. Savannah was one of the games that we didn’t finish well. Just really good to play well in that game. Then, coming to the bye week, it’s not a great time to have a bye week. Get healthy, and then after a game, you’ve got a lot of stuff to work on—we enjoyed it.”
The coach outlined Seiling’s team and what to expect when competing against them:
“They’re really physical. They execute well defensively, really aggressive—physicality really defines them. They’re older, they [have] a lot of seniors, a lot of guys that have been in the battles, that have been in the trenches. So we just really want—it’s an opportunity for us to play somebody that’s really good and that’s going to challenge us….”
