In this interview, Derek Darr sat down with Garber Head Football Coach Koy Hughes to discuss the upcoming game against Covington.
The coach began by discussing what to expect from the Wildcats:
“Coach Smith and his staff do a great job. Even though they’re young and inexperienced, kind of like we are. We know that his system is going to create a lot of problems for us, especially on the defensive side of the ball. We know we’ve got to play hard. He [has] some good kids, some really talented young kids, and some athletic kids. Brings back some dudes from last year, the Fisher kid, the Thayer kid, a really, really good football player.”
Coach Hughes continued about the game plan against Covington-Douglas:
“We know we’re going to have to play our best game to give us a chance this week, and we know that whenever we play Covington, both teams are going to give their best effort because you really want those bragging rights for the whole year.”
