In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Pioneer Head Football Coach Gus Overstreet to discuss the fall Break matchup against OBA.
Coach talked about what he’s expecting from the OBA Trojans:
“I’m kind of expecting the same thing, like we are. I mean, Coach Cayot’s been doing the same thing. He’s been starting young ones just like I’ve been starting young ones. I mean, threw them to the wolves as freshmen. They’ve only got bigger, faster, stronger, and gosh, they look good on film….”
The coach talked about what the key to victory is for the upcoming matchup:
“The biggest key [is] that we’re going to have to make sure to cut down on mistakes. If you do make a mistake, find a way to dig out of it and make them make mistakes. That’s going to be the key to the game.”
