In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Enid Head Football Coach Brad Cornelson to talk about the upcoming matchup against Bixby.
The coach started by talking about the progress made from the previous matchup against Norman:
“It was a good start. We got off to a good start, got a couple of turnovers, and a big play on offense. It was exciting to jump out to the lead and have a little bit of momentum, did a poor job of keeping it. We gave up a couple of big plays, and they got right back in it and took the lead.”
Coach Cornelsen added on about what he expected from the Bixby Trojans:
“It’s a perfect storm they have going on right now, this year, it looks to be like the success they’ve had in the last 10 to 15 years, it’s just incredible. They’ve got the unique combination of some really high-level talent mixed with a disciplined brand of football…an extremely well-coached team. [They] pride themselves in playing really good football and a disciplined level with great effort execution….”
