1957 - 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Becky Jean Mooring Martin, who departed this life in Punta Gorda, Florida, on October 19, 2025, at the age of 68.
Becky was born on April 5, 1957, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Doyal Dean Mooring and Shirley (Mayse) Mooring. She grew up with her siblings, Lennis, Sidney, Jimmy and Ricky. Becky went to school in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She later married Randy Murray and had two children, Jason Murray and Jennifer Murray Baugus.
Becky and her daughter, Jennifer, moved to Alaska in 1994. While working as a travel agent in Wasilla, she met and married the love of her life, Glen Martin. They raised 4 children and had numerous businesses, built jewelry, owned two Martin Mines stores in Sterling and Soldotna, a mall, a Dollar Store, and a computer store. She loved fishing with her family and going to Homer, Alaska. She had a lust for life, was known for her love for her children and grandchildren and was a force to be reckoned with.
Later in life Becky and Glen went into gold mining and built a town named Boundary. They built cabins to rent, a jewelry store, a general store, a convenience store and a church where Becky wanted travelers to stop for prayers, if they felt the need.
Becky was proceeded in death by her father, Dean Mooring, brother, Rick Mooring, and granddaughter, Whitney Murray.
Becky is survived by husband, Glen Martin, son Jason Murray (Tiaunna), daughter, Jennifer Murray Baugus (Toby), stepchildren, Misty, Dustin, Daniel, Michael and Mariah Martin, numerous grandchildren, mother, Shirley Stephens, sister, Lennis Ailey, brothers, Sid Mooring and Jim Mooring.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Longwood Cemetery, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held afterward at 120 Woodcreek Road, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
