In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Enid Head Football Coach Brad Cornelson to discuss the upcoming matchup against Moore.
The coach began by discussing what to expect from the Moore Lions:
“They’re [a] talented team. Watching their offense quite a bit throughout the season and crossover film. They spread it out; got some good skill guys, some talent, their quarterback’s done a really nice job of being able to run the ball [and] scrambling, get out of trouble…Always tough to deal with offensively, when you do have a team that kind of spreads the field, and has a quarterback that can hurt you…Defensively, they’re very aggressive.”
Coach Cornelson expressed how proud he is of his team for being able to keep moving forward:
“It’s been good. I’ve been proud of them. It’s been a tough season, and just the ability to hang in there and keep moving forward, and trying to show these young guys the right way to do things. I’ve been really proud of them…You want them to experience [a] taste of a little bit more success in their final season. But hopefully they’re learning lessons that they can carry with them.”
