EnidLIVE’s Colby Talley sat down with the Chisholm Football head coach Cameron Condor to discuss the Longhorns’ upcoming playoff game against Washington.
Conder began by discussing the gameplan against Washington.
“The number one priority is obviously [to] be who we are. And just continue building on the things that we’ve done the last six, seven weeks. When you take over a program, it takes a little bit of time for kids to understand some expectations and all that kind of stuff. And we’re sitting in a good spot right now. We’re as healthy as we’ve been all year. And so, obviously, we like that scenario. Got some key players back for this week’s matchup. And kids have really been focused the last two weeks, preparing for Washington. And so, you know, we’re gonna have to take care of the football, stay on schedule with our offense, and get them off on key third downs to be successful in this game on Friday night.”
Condor commended several of his players and shared the importance this year’s senior class has carried in football games this year.
“Our kids have done a really good job. When you take over a program, you’ve got to have a couple [of] things go your way. And number one, you’ve got to get complete buy-in from, most importantly, your seniors. And our seniors have done a remarkable job of really believing in what we have come in and really sold the kids on, [and] have had nothing but positives from our seniors. And that’s the way you win football games, with your seniors. “
