1952 - 2025
There will be a visitation with family for Michael Dean Scott D.O., a 73-year-old Waukomis, OK resident, held at Henninger-Hinson in the Chapel from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Friday, November 21,2025.
Mike was born to Dean and Betty Jo (Gibson) Scott in Wichita, Kansas and was raised in Covington, Oklahoma. He graduated from Enid High School in 1970 and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. He then attended Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1980 with his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. Mike operated his own family practice until his retirement. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar.
On July 11, 1975, Mike married Jaylene Schulz. They made their home in Waukomis, Oklahoma, and together they raised four children.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jaylene, and their four children: Brandon Scott and Tabatha of Hennessey, Oklahoma; Stacie Myrick and Charlie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Evan Reininger and Daryl of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Tyler Scott and Sara of Bison, Oklahoma. He is also survived
by eleven grandchildren: Mailey, Casen, and Cutter Scott; Cooper and Cameron Myrick; Logan, Tal, and Gibson Reininger; and Brinley, Grady, and Macey Scott. He is also survived by one brother: Mark Scott of Diamondville, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Betty Jo Scott; his paternal grandparents, Delmar and Florence Scott; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dora Mae Gibson; his sibling Marsha Benker; and one granddaughter, Kayman Rose Scott.
