Richard Craig Johndrow
1951 - 2026

Richard Craig Johndrow was born on June 29, 1951 in Enid to Edward and Alice (Craig) Johndrow  and passed away on June 28, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 2:00PM  in The Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Matthew Watkins will officiate.

Richard graduated from Enid High School in 1969 and continued his education in Entomology through Oklahoma State University. He enlisted in the the  Army in March of 1969 serving in the 4th Army, 5th Army, and Oklahoma National Guard, 45th Division. He served his country for eleven years being honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent.

Richard married Connie Dalke on July 2, 1971 and they remained married for 54 years, 11 months, and three days. They had one son, Eddie Johndrow. Together they founded Johndrow's Pest Control, INC. in 1981 where he was owner/operator serving Northwest Oklahoma until his retirement from the company in August of 2025, at which time his son Eddie took over the operations of the business. Richard has slso been employed at Vance Air Force Base under many contractors, for 56 years. At the time of his death, he was the lead over the Entomology Department with ASRC Federal.

Richard was a life-time member of the Enid Elks Lodge #2104, a member of the Enid Moose Lodge. #1740 for 25 years. He was a Perpetual Member of Enid Masonic Lodge 80, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shriner, member of Adkar Shrine Temple of Tulsa. As a member of Enid Chamber of Commerce, Richard chaired the Enlisted Appreciation Night event at Vance Air Force Base for 21 years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Enid Air Force Association for many years.

Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Aurhur Johndrow Jr., a brother Edward Aurthur Johndrow III and a brother Mark Gregory Johndrow.

He is survived by his wife Connie of the home, his son Richard "Eddie" Johndrow and his wife Natalie of Lahoma, a sister Janice Johndrow of Boley, Oklahoma, his best friend and brother-in-law Dewayne Williams and wife Debi of Enid, and a sister-in-law Helena Gappa and her husband John of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Richard lived large, he was always in command of any situation. He was a loving husband and father, he was honest and trustworthy in business, and a faithful friend to those he loved.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the Adkar Shrine Temple, crippled children division.
