Johnnie Randolph Obituary
Johnnie Raymond Randolph was born April 5, 1929, on a farm in Ames, Oklahoma, andpassed away June 24 on a farm just across the road from his birthplace.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Raymond Randolph; his brother, Loyd Randolph; his sisters, Nellie Rose McCreary, Fayetta Denning, and Helen Price; his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Randolph; and his second wife of 22 years, Ellen
Randolph and one granddaughter, Charity Randolph. He is survived by his sister, Hazel Kampschroeder; his children, Danny and Sharan Randolph of Ames, Oklahoma, Stella and Keith Barnum of Enid, Oklahoma, Ronnie and Charlotte Randolph of Ames, Oklahoma, and Joanna Slough of Lawton, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Steve and Michelle of Ringwood, Oklahoma, Brian and Maggie of Ames, Oklahoma, Krista and Cody Graves of McLean, Texas, Kevin and Stacy Slough of Prague, Oklahoma, Dallas Slough of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Eric and Heather Randolph of San Antonio, Texas, Miranda and Marc Martinez of Enid, Oklahoma, and Devin and Catherine Overstreet of Tulsa, Oklahoma; as well as 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Johnnie joined Followers of Christ Church at an early age and remained a devoted, faithful member throughout his life.
Johnnie deeply loved God, his family, farming, and sports. He enjoyed telling stories about starting farm work at a young age, including joining a long-haul harvest crew when he was just 12 years old. He stayed active until the last six months of his life, determined to go where he wanted, when he wanted-whether to a local casino or across the country to visit friends and relatives in Idaho.
