Per Nick Friesen and the Enid News and Eagle, former Enid Plainsmen Dez Mittlestet has committed to continue his baseball career at Butler Community College in Eldorado, KS! A multisport athlete, Mittlestet was a CTB Sports All-Star in Football in 2025 and regularly started in right field in his Junior campaign.
However, Mittlestet made a massive leap in his pitching abilities heading into his senior year; he went from a reliever to the Plainsmen’s #1 District Pitcher and clear Ace. As a junior, Mittlestet often threw in the high 70’s and regularly threw in the high 80’s as a senior, with good off-speed pitches as well.
He will head to a Butler program that is an NJCAA Division 1 program that went 32-27 this past season.
