Celebration of Life Service for Ramona Nelson Deppeler will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 17, 2026 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Chick officiating.
Ramona was born on October 18, 1953 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Carlton and Pat (Weatherman) Guthrie and passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas where she attended school and later graduated from Ryder High in 1972 and then later went on to cosmetology school. Ramona was a hair dresser in Enid for more than 20 years. Ramona married Byron Nelson, Sr. and to that relationship, two daughters Melissa and MaKayla and also a bonus son Wesley. Ramona later married Paul Deppler in Enid later worked for Groendyke Transport as a billing clerk, where she later retired from. During her retirement she enjoyed gardening, cooking and always cooking and caring for anyone that needed anything. Ramona, after retirement Paul and her did a lot of traveling in their motor home until she returned back to Enid.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Pat Tipton; sister Regina and husband Billy Neimeyer.
Ramona is survived by her children, MaKayla & Joann Nelson, Melisa Watson & Shane Clark, Wesley & Mary Nelson; four grandchildren Hunter, Owen, Nash & Nick, two great grandchildren; Jyden & Sydney. AND of course, many loving nieces, nephews and so many amazing friends that were family.
