In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Kremlin-Hillsdale Head Football Coach James Worley to talk about optimism for the 26th season.
The coach began by discussing how summer practices have gone and shared his excitement for the team’s progress:
“We went to Shattuck camp and went to camp at Medford. I thought we had a lot of good looks with our offense moving the ball pretty well, and I was looking for a little toughness from them. We got a lot of sophomores on the team, with a few upperclassmen leading. I thought we were doing really [well] on both sides of the ball. Obviously, some of them are just coming out for the first time, so it’s year two for them.”
Coach Worley shared some teams they will face in their class:
“I think it’s really tough to go up classes, and we’re traditionally a bubble team that goes up and down between B and C; it’s something that our kids have known about. It’s not that big of [an] adjustment. The talent level is OBA and Okeene; they’re really good. Mountain View-Gotebo is really good and so all we’re going to have to do is step up our game. We’re going to have to get tougher and better and execute better….”
