The Enid Police Department confirmed this morning that 54-year-old Sgt. Lee Frisendahl was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon.
The accident took place northeast of Enid near the intersection of 90th and Robertson at roughly 4:31 p.m. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Frisendahl and his wife Rebecca were travelling northbound on 90th when their Pontiac Grand Prix was struck on the passenger side door by a 2017 GMC Sierra driven by 63-year-old Curtis Lee Walters. The OHP report did not provide the exact cause of the accident.
Frisendahl served with the EPD for over 19 years, spending the majority of his time as a night shift officer.
