In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with the Waukomis Head Football Coach Rustin Donaldson to discuss the upcoming football season.
The coach reflected on the incredible season last year and how the team has improved:
“It was a great year. All the work that these kids have put in over the year kind of came to fruition, and it’s always fun to be a part of that…Continued hard work and building leaders and just keeping pushing and developing these guys.”
Coach Donaldson gave some insight on the rivalry with Pioneer just down the road:
“I wil say about Pioneer, that has been a huge rivalrly in all sports, but we habe not played them in football the last several cycles. It just hasn’t worked out. I think that’s a game that fans and communities are excited for, just to be able to renew that.”
