Daniel Robert Mendoza, 40, passed away on September 7, 2026. He was born in Glendora, California, and was raised in Enid, Oklahoma, where he grew up and became a cherished part of his community.
Daniel was a devoted father to his two beautiful daughters, Jaelyn Mendoza of Enid and Sage Ann of Oklahoma City. His daughters were an important part of his life, and his love for them will continue to live on through the memories they shared.
Daniel was the beloved son of Paulina Ryan of Enid, Oklahoma, and Carlos Mendoza of Moreno Valley, California.
Daniel dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from November 1, 2008, through January 17, 2014. During his military career, Daniel served three tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned Sergeant E05 during his tenure. His commitment, sacrifice, and dedication to his fellow soldiers and his country will always be remembered and honored.
Following his honorable discharge from the guard, Daniel attended college and worked diligently to earn his Masters degree in Behavioral Science.

Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Benito Crespin; maternal stepfather, Dustin Benson; paternal grandmother, Susie Madrid Muro; paternal aunt, Cynthia Mendoza; and paternal uncle, Peter Madrid.
Daniel leaves behind his two daughters, Jaelyn and Sage Ann; his mother, Paulina Ryan; his father, Carlos Mendoza; and his siblings, Raquel, Erica, Merissa, Anthony and Jacquelyn. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, friends, fellow soldiers, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his time with us was far too short, Daniel leaves behind a legacy of love, fatherhood, service, and sacrifice. His memory will live on through his daughters, his family, his friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.
May Daniel rest in peace, and may his service and sacrifice never be forgotten.
