Coonrod discussed not only what people can expect from this year’s series of events, but she talked about the history of the celebration and what imbues this time of the year with significance for the Enid community.
The 2026 Cherokee Strip Celebration is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., with the Cherokee Strip Parade starting at 10:30 a.m.
