In this interview, CTB Sports Director Derek Darr sat down with Seiling Head Football Coach Gary Manuel to talk about the upcoming matchup against Cherokee.
The coach began by sharing some insight on the matchup against the Chiefs:
“I mean, they’re really good on both sides of the football. They do a great job of controlling a lot of scrimmage. They have a lot of dynamic quarterback and running back [who], at any time they can go the distance and break the game open.”
Coach Manuel expanded on the gameplan against Cherokee:
“We [have] to tackle well, leverage the football…I think they have one of the best linemen in eight-man football, number 70; he’s a really good offensive lineman and a really good nose guard. We’re gonna have to try to handle him up front. They are so good offensively, but I think what gets overlooked is that they’re really good defensively also.”
