Floydean Kratzer
1937 - 2026

Floydean Roberta Kratzer (Dysart) was born near Amarillo, TX in 1937 to Floyd and Anna Dysart and passed away November 5, 2026. Her family moved to the Enid area when she was young to escape the dust bowl which had claimed the life of one of her four sisters. She attended Horner 1 room school southeast of Enid and then St. Joseph Catholic and Memorial High Schools, graduating in 1955.

Much of her early career was at Marquis Studios performing photography and other artistic duties. She was most well known for her tenure as Garfield County Clerk where she instituted many improvements to the system. Afterwards she enjoyed a long retirement period. Floydean was part of Enid AM Too Ambucs for many years, working on fundraisers and other public service activities. She was an active member of Bethany Home Extension Club for decades. She often won awards for her cooking, sewing, crocheting, and artistic skills. She was also a longtime member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.

As a child, she began her extensive stamp collection which she added to throughout her life. She loved collecting antiques and specialized in victrolas and cameras of all types. For many years, Floydean was an avid painter and photographer, creating many beautiful images. Floydean’s love was her daughter, Kathy. Whether shopping, casino hopping or gossiping as long as Kathy was involved it was perfect. Second only to that was time spent with her sisters. They were the best of friends as only sisters could be.

Floydean was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Lou, Norma Jean, Betty Jo, Deloris, and her husband Robert. She is survived by her daughter Kathy and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family immensely.

Graveside services for Floydean Roberta Kratzer will be 11:00 a.m. Friday November 13, 2026 at Calvary Cemetery, Enid with Deacon Kevin Winter officiating. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials can be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church.
