Ariana Grande has achieved her ninth career number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as her latest single "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)" debuts in the top spot. The track, featured on Grande's new album Eternal Sunshine, also reached No. 1 with the best first week of any album so far this year. “it’s impossible to put into words what i’ve been feeling this week,” Grande wrote in an Instagram post. “this album is most special to me for many reasons and just holds so much."

Her grandmother, who appears on one of the album's tracks, has also become the oldest living person to chart on the Hot 100 at 98 years old. Teddy Swims' "Lose Control" remains steady at No. 2, Benson Boone's "Beautiful Things" bounces back to No. 3, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign's "Carnival" drops to No. 4 and Jack Harlow's "Lovin on Me" rounds out the top 5.
