The Gaslight Theater has announced the show dates for its next big production on the Main Stage, the iconic Broadway show “Annie”.
The show will run from Dec. 5-7 and from Dec. 12-14. Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays at 221 N. Independence St.
Tickets will be $20 in advance and $22 at the door. Active military personnel will receive a $3 discount on both prices, while admission will be cut in half for students.
Cemented as a family classic, “Annie” features a heartwarming story for audiences of all ages, with well-known songs such as “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life”.
The Gaslight Theater rendition of the show will be directed by Christianne Chase with the help of assistant director Mitch Walters, music director Brett N. Wilenzick and choreographer Janet Jones. Cora Parker is slated to play the titular character Annie alongside Mike Weatherford in the role of Daddy Warbucks.
During intermission of the opening night show on Dec. 5, ticket holders can enjoy free appetizers courtesy of the Autry Technology Center’s Culinary Arts students in partnership with Cafe Blu.
Throughout the show’s run, a silent auction fundraiser will be held both online and in the lobby of the theater. The proceeds will go towards “Gaslight: The Revival”, the theater’s ongoing campaign to renovate their building.
Furthermore, all ticket sales from the matinee on Saturday, Dec. 7 will go to United Way, supporting essential community programs throughout the region.
