Cale Grauberger and Richard Riggins Talk Flag Planting Ceremony for National Veterans Flagpoles United

Cale Grauberger President of National Veterans Flagpoles United, and Veterans Outreach Coordinator Richard Riggins spoke with Enidlive about their upcoming flag-planting ceremony in Enid. Volunteers and those wishing to observe the ceremonies are asked to meet at Jackson’s of Enid at 9:30 a.m. the morning of Saturday, September 30th.

They will then go to the homes of 3 veterans in Enid for flag-planting ceremonies. During the ceremonies, they install the flagpoles and present the flags to the veteran after folding the flag symbolically 13 times and explaining the meaning of each fold.

National Veterans Flagpoles United is also planning on installing 22 flagpoles in 1 day to raise awareness for Veteran suicide since about 22 veterans commit suicide each day on average. This will take place on Sunday, November 5th.
