The City of Enid Parks and Recreation is hosting the 2026 Cardboard and Duct Tape Boat Race on Saturday, June 27, at Champlin pool from 6-8 p.m.
Contestants must build the boat and paddles from cardboard and duct tape only; no additional building materials are allowed. The maximum size for the boats is 60 inches wide and 84 inches long.
Teams must consist of four people, with a maximum of two in a boat. All ages are allowed to participate, but team members who are 12 and younger must have adult supervision, and those 9 and younger must have an adult on board.
Awards will be given out for various criteria:
- Titanic Award
- for who sinks in the most spectacular fashion
- Spirit Award
- for who had the most fun
- Best Design
- for the team with the most creative boat
- Champion Award
- For the team that completes the race first
