Chisholm Public Schools Votes to Approve New Hires

Chisholm Public Schools has voted to approve the confirmation of new hires. Those new hires are Bobby Shoate, who will be teaching the driver’s ed program for Chisholm High School.

They also approved the hire of  Wendy Jones as the new district treasurer, and for her to start on an as-needed basis. Amy Barnes was also approved as the assistant track coach for the 6th,7th, and 8th grades.

In other hires, Barbara Crook, Valerie McCollum, and Mikayln Swanson were all hired on as summer school teachers. There was other exciting news from the meeting, as a motion to approve the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education Comprehensive Schools Program Request for STEM Education to introduce students to careers in aviation was passed by the school board.

This will give students an opportunity to be introduced to the aviation industry which is prominent in both North Central Oklahoma and South Central Kansas.
