The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office uncovered no credible threat in their investigation of an alleged shooting threat involving a student from Kremlin Schools.

The office received a report on Tuesday of an alleged student from Kremlin threatening to come to school with a gun and shoot fellow students. An investigation on the matter, involving interviews with students, parents and school staff, was opened immediately.

Following the two-day investigation, it was determined the alleged threat was an embellishment stemming from an online altercation between students from Kremlin and an unknown subject. No specific subject was determined to be a target and no date for the messages was found.

No subjects interviewed heard a threat of a shooting taking place by any specific subject.
