The Chisholm Trail Pheasants Forever Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 from 5-9 p.m. at the Grant County Fairgrounds.
Derek Darr with EnidLIVE! sat down with Chisholm Trail Pheasants Forever president Jeremy Morgan and vice president Marshall Reigh to talk about the fundraiser banquet this upcoming weekend.
“The neat thing about Pheasants Forever is that all our money stays local,” Reigh said. “[Out of] all the money our chapter raises for these events, our chapter does nothing but youth outreach. We sponsor archery teams, our youth trap shooting team, all those types of things.”
Reigh took some to discuss the community response to this fundraising event.
“The best part about [the banquet] is [that] most people up [in Grant County] and all the people we talk to about this event, they find out its for local youth and they’re all in.” Reigh said. “There will be 300 people there, barbecue dinner, it will be a good time.”
Next, Morgan discussed a deal going on for this year’s banquet where free raffle tickets are being given to children under 14. Those raffle tickets will be for a series of firearm drawings.
“There will be live auctions throughout the night, there’s going to be raffle auctions, you can buy additional tickets at the door,” Morgan said. “Anything from Yeti coolers to several different firearms.”
